About Koinè
Koinè allows you to create, organize, and project surtitles during live performances.
What is a surtitle?
Surtitles are lines of text displayed in real time, traditionally above or beside the stage, which are intended to be read by the audience. They enable a play to be translated, made accessible, and/or enriched in semantic and artistic terms. Surtitles are prepared in advance and launched by an operator in the control booth who follows the performance progress.
What sets Koinè apart
Koinè is designed to be intuitive and easy to use. Its operation is inspired by word processing software: you will therefore be able to quickly find your way around and prepare your surtitles efficiently.
Koinè is multiplatform. It can be installed on your Windows or Mac computer. [1]
Koinè is both a technical and creative tool. It allows you to customize the appearance of your surtitles, enrich your works with multimedia content, and display your content on multiple areas, even on set elements if you wish.
